DUNNOLLY is conveniently centred in the Alpine Pacific Tourist playground  and enable access to major wineries, walking trails, thermal and farming activities.  You have at least 10 Waipara Winery Cellar doors to visit either by car or you can have a guided tour provided by a professional company.

You may take a wagon pulled by Clysdale horses to selected wineries and enjoy local wine and cuisine.
You may even bring your cycle and take a more leisuraly pace - the options are numerous.

A 2 minute drive brings you to the historical Weka Pass Railway providing weekend trips on a steam train chugging through rugged limestone country.
Within 1 hour:

• You can travel up the rugged but beautiful Kaikoura  Coast and spend the day Whale watching on the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy the local cuisine of crayfish and other seafood delicacies. Take a scenic flight or even a cave walk.
• Drive the inland route to Hanmer and visit the outdoor Thermal experience. On the way take a jet boat ride, horse treking , fishing, mountain biking or have a leisurely game of golf.
• During your stay you have to make time to take the local Waipara Walks or fish the Hurunui River.
• You may spend a day shopping in Christchurch.
